Have you ever been moved to tears at a Prince concert?

Not because he wouldn't take your cd or broke a sand dollar you tried to give to him...but so blown by his performance that you shed a tear or actually cried.

If so, please share your positive experience(s).

Well I have never been brought to tears at one of his shows cuz I've never been to one. But I have been reduced to tears just listening to his music, so I can only imagine being at a show.

The moment he stepped on stage at the Fleet Center in August 2004 to the beat of Musicology, with 20,000 people screaming and cheering, I had tears in my eyes - after following him through the thick and thin of the slave years, the name change, the wilderness years of NPGMC and TRC, seeing him be so well embraced by so many people - I was actually proud of him, and I said to myself "this is why I will always listen to this guy".

I was moved to tears when it took me two hours to get out of the parking lot after the Charlotte show.

Actually, I'm too happy and pumped up to be there to be moved to tears.

Everytime I have been to concert I have been moved to tears...usually when he plays piano or when he's talking to audience without a mike and we don't know what he's saying but it somewhere along the lines..."damn right and take that shit". When I feel the tears building...that's when I know...nevermind

At the hit n run tour, in L.A. while he played the shit out of the guitar solo to purple rain, I was so into the music that before I noticed my eyes welled up. I even thought to myself, "damn, you're crying dude, what's up with that?" I was just so into the vibe that it was okay. I wasn't balling like a Michael Jackson fan, but my eyes did tear up. It was cool

I remember a time when Prince gave me goosebumps instead
and that is when he had stopped the music and just let the audience sang
'Nothing Compares to You'..it was a touchy and powerful

If any song could move me to tears it would be Joy In Repetition. Unfortunately, I have never seen him perform it live. I have a mp3 boot of it from an aftershow in 2004 and I am always filled with emotion everytime I listen to it...especially during Maceo's solo and P's kick-a$$ guitar solo at the end. cloud9

ONA is awesome. I love listening to him talking 'bout buying a new ride on Adore. How I wish I was there, I would have been DYING!

I teared up a little at the Celebration concert when Fink, Brownmark and Bobby joined Prince on stage for, "America." I never considered it before but in the moment it seemed like the quintessential Revolution song and to see them all on stage did kinda choke me up. If Wendy and Lisa would've come out I would've definitely cried.
