Worst ever song prince has been involved with?

It can be a song with prince on lead vocals, or one he just co-wrote or played on, but what is the worst in ur opinion?

For me, its "brother with a purpose". Its horrible. "we got out own ideas" confused I have too. Idea being, this is the worst song ever.

Its either that or "orgasm", if that counts as a song.

Even that song has its moments, like Prince´s uplifting, airy rapping, the decent beat, etc.

One song I truly can´t stand is Lolita, and of course a lot of TC Ellis/TonyM stuff...I also don´ t like the Lubricated Lady

You like Love, but you don't like the thumping Family Name, The Everlasting Now The Work, Last December or the title track?

Fair enough, but...

I do like a lot of the music, but where are the melodies? It's the most tuneless collection of songs he's ever released. I reckon he got too lost in the concept and actually forgot to write some decent tunes. Even the best song sounds like a B side from '84. Very dull to my ears. shrug

And a pretentious load of wank, too. biggrin

There are some great songs on the Mayte album that P should have kept for himself. In Your Gracious Name, However Much U Want, If I Love U 2nite, Ain´t No Place Like U are fantastic songs.

And Exodus is a killer P-Funk album. Count The Days, The Good Life, Big Fun etc.

It's amazing when you start to think about a topic like this as to just how many there are! I'm not going to go into the post-1992 phase as there's so much that's dissapointing in there for me.

But I remember seeing the Dale Bozzio "Simon Simon" video and thinking "whyyyyy!!??"

Musically:
- Girl, irritating melody, irritating vocal line, irritating song
- Da, da, da: i never heard that song in full, that says enough
- The extended version of America: 21 minutes of one riff going on and on

Lyrically:
- Most tracks on the Rainbow Children (small-minded, brainwashed sexistic, anti-semitic crap)

I'd have to agree. I was going to suggest Paula Abdul's U, but when I honestly consider it, it's just her vocals that really bug me. It's not his best production job, but her vocals ruin it. I've almost bought Carmen's album a few times, then I check myself. I don't need to just because it's Prince-related. lol
