How many male Orgers wore make up in the '80's? Come on Confess!!

Did you wear make up, do you still wear make up?
Did you grow your hair and style it like Prince. Did you insist on wearing purple even if it isn't your colour?
How many of you sewed buttons onto the side of your trousers, tied ribbons in their hair, wore lace and lots an' lots a pearls?

I still do!! I've been doing it since I was 14 and I'm 20 now. I only wear eye liner and clear mascara. It never got in the way of me getting girls, and they all knew it or the one I'm with now knows it, and it doesn't bother her at all. My mother thinks I'm gay because of it, and my father thinks it's just a musician thing since I am a musician. My eye lashes are already long as hell, so I wear it just 2 enhance my features, and unless U study me or stare me down, it looks natural. Everywhere I go, people say I look like a brown-skinned version of Prince. But my doing it has nothing 2 do with sexuality because I am straight. I'm just in my own "Uptown" so 2 speak.

I was a kid during the 80's, so No, but growing up on Prince, has caused me to blur my own Masculine/Feminine personality characteristics. So I consider myself 'Andgrogynous' meaning I have the best of both worlds. For all the sickos on this site, I'm not talking about any physical characteristics rolleyes I do shop at Bath and Body Works, and most of my friends are females. My woman loves me for it (androgyny) When she needs me to be a 100% 'MAN', you can bet I'm there wink

Hey, there isn't nothing wrong with shopping at Bath and Body Works. I shop there all the time. Personally I have always been man enough to express myself in any environment. Most of my friends growing up where female and I had several gay and lesbian friends in college. I personally have never crossed the line, but I'm man enough to see people for who they are and I also never felt like I had to stand up to some macho image. Irony, in high school I was a football manager (water boy) and I got more girls than then most of team combined. But truth be known I was also considered rather damn handsome.

Hey, what was this thread about. OK, back on subject. No make up, but Bath and Body Works is cool.

Make up is not to cover up the flaws CHRONIC! Prince has beautiful eyes with or without make up, so you're saying he's flawed?

Maybe you have flaws and need a shovel to put you're make up on with. wink

Sure I did...but it had less to do with Prince than it had to do with Bauhaus and Robert Smith...ah yes, it's true...I'm a reformed goth! I used to mix green and black greasepant and smear it on my face for that "decomposition" look, then I would smear mascara down my cheeks and tease my hair out like Eraserhead. Pretty-pretty.

One day I decided to abandon this look, I guess because I wanted to actually get laid or something.

I feel much better now, having confessed.

I let 3 different girls put full make-up on me 3 different times, all 3 slept with me later those 3 nights. Had nothing 2 do with Prince.

I must be an old fashioned sort, even though I'm just 25. Men just shouldn't wear makeup, unless they are trying to look like a homosexual. It's an outdated opinion I know but vanity and narcissm aren't attractive qualities for a man to have. Be a real man for god's sake!

Yeah I know, I'm a dinosaur.

Prince got away with it because he's a "pop star". Come to think of it, he didn't really get away with it - everyone in the world thought he was gay. I've always thought Prince looked ridiculous in his frilly outfits, his makeup and high heels. Thank goodness the music was so good smile

I gotta confess... Everyone knows I'm gay and of course we have a reputation for that kind of thing.. I'm a tiny bit ashamed to admit I never put a drop of make-up on my face save for a few halloweens when I was a kid.

Well Mascara makes your lashes thicker and longer so I would imagine that clear mascara accomplishes this without coloring your lashes black, brown, or whatever color you had purchased.

OK, I admit it, I tried it smile. Not so much because of Prince though and no I didn't walk around the street with it on. A girl I used 2 hang with thought I had the eyes 4 it and wanted 2 put eye liner on me so I tried it. It looked cool but I didn't have the nerve 2 go outside with it on.
