I don't know if anyone has made a thread on this yet...

My favorite part of 3121 album has got to be the breakdown at the end of "The Dance." I've listened to it a million times. One day I played it on the way to work over and over again. It takes me about 40 minutes to get to work, so I'd say I played it at least 40 times... But still every time I play it, I can't for the life of me understand what Prince says at the end on the last line he says before: OOOOOH BABY BABY BABY/ IT'S JUST NOT FAIR/ IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!

If someone can give me the rest of the lyrics that are not in the lyric book on this part at the end of “The Dance” or at least tell me what they think he’s saying or know he’s saying on that line, I'd appreciate it.

I'd ask him myself but as of yet no comment from his publicist

We all can hear that he sings "Or on the stairs, Against a pole", but then it says in the booklet "Or on the nort side of the..." which is followed by the the "it's not fair" part. But it doesn't sound at all like Prince is singin' "On the nort side of the...". It's really hard to hear what he's actually sayin', coz to me it sounds just like "Or on the northgonov" which is obviously not real English. Really weird. Either it's Prince's own secret language or we need better ears...

As of 5 minutes ago, this is what I ran into after I googled the lyrics around that line that I do know for sure... I believe that you are right babynoz. Thanks for the contribution.

I guess the last time I tried to google the lyrics, the album was just so new that no one had investigated that line so much yet to post the lyrics on the web.

What a difference a few months makes, huh.

Always thought I heard "On the desk corner..!!"...as in edge of the desk? Yeah? No? Aww screw it, that's what I sing.
