theodore	C O N T R O V E R S Y Uall, when Controversy came out I wasn't even on my parents mind. I have heard it so many times and I got one question: It talks about things that were happening back then, right? And Ronnie talk 2 Russia is about the President, right. I had 2 listen the CD twice 2 understand some of these songs. LOVE

Yes, the 'Ronnie' in Ronnie, Talk 2 Russia, is Ronald Reagan. The song refers to the Cold War with Russia and the USA's political opposition to Communism in general - Isn't it fabulous! dancing jig

You might also want to read up a bit on ABSCAM, which is mentioned in 'Sexuality' - Not too big an issue, but an interesting point of trivia nonetheless.

Anx	god, i'm old. yes, "ronnie talk to russia" is about reagan. "annie christian" is inspired by a rash of serial murders in atlanta and the killing of john lennon, as well as some other current events of the day...it's a real time capsule.
