cuz he's tired, corny, and totally out of the loop. I must agree. I've never really cared for Larry performing with Prince. He was the stuff on bass when he played with Sly, but he is just a corn dog next to Prince. Their personal relationship is what it is, but I wish it would stay private with Larry cheering "the Kid" on from backstage. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

for those who dis Larry.."yah just don't know"... Larry Graham, Jr. (*born 14 August 1946 in Beaumont, Texas *that makes him 60yrs old this august....) is an American baritone singer, musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as both the bass guitar player in the popular and influential psychedelic soul/funk band Sly & the Family Stone. He is credited with the invention of the slapping technique on the bass guitar, which radically expanded the tonal palette of the instrument. (a technique that influenced "Louis Johnson" of the "Brother's Johnson..."strawberry letter #23) Larry Graham is an american musical icon... A young Prince was influenced by Sly Stone (of Sly and the Family Stone), James Brown, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix.(just to mention of few). Prince intentionally enlisted a multi-racial, mixed-gender group, much like the backing band of one of Prince's most salient influences, Sly and the Family Stone... think about it....if Sly was not such a recluse (do to health reasons or whatever) it's just about a guarantee that he would be sharing the stage with Prince also...and what about Jimi? I admire Prince and his respectfulness by reaching back into his "musical roots" and sharing such greats as Larry Graham with the "now generation" and broadening audience participation and attendees to the level of a multi-generational sphere . [Edited 5/29/06 23:29pm] i love you for who you are, not the one u feel u need to be.

Good Post Tamarow, but strawberry letter 23 is a remake of a Shuggie Otis Song, the Bros. Johnson just redid it. All of you should cop that Album by Shuggie Otis Inspiration Information. It'll rock your socks! It ranks right up their with Sly's Fresh and Prince's Parade anyday of the week and twice on sunday Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

thanks for the info...i'm aware of the "Shuggie Otis" tip... however, to familiarize people with "Louis Johnson", of the "Brothers Johnson","strawberry letter #23...gave the Brothers their most noted "claim to fame". also, i will add the "Shuggie Otis" recordings to my music library. thanks again...(smil [Edited 5/29/06 23:58pm] i love you for who you are, not the one u feel u need to be.

It's werid I have this cool astrological software that calculates charts in a second and I've been having fun using it recently...it's no wonder Larry and Prince get along so well...they both have their moon signs in Pisces and they both have Scorpio Rising.

I would not mind if Larry just left Prince's camp..... NEVER to return,

it's a ownership water mark. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.
