What Artist Would You Like Prince to work with?

Since I like Gothic music I would like to see him with Marilyn Manson or Trent Reznor but also I think BJORK and him would be quite interesting likewise ENYA.. What are some of your ideas?

Tom Waits.
Sometimes Prince's songs suffer from being too perfect & shiny. Tom Waits' involvement would fix that pretty quickly.

I read that Prince is Tom's favorite musician. (Which was great for me cause I have a friend who's a HUGE TW fan and doesn't like the Purple One) wink I think that would make for a cool colaberation!

I would also like to see Prince and Lenny K do a record. Lenny seems to have the ear for vintage intsruments and production style, where Prince writes killer songs and produces them his own way. I think that Lenny would have the ears that could make a killer record. ... but this is all opinion and speculation ...

JIL SCOTT undoubtebly!! I would love that!!

Gil Scott-Heron: that's a different story. I think it would be some 'pwerful' lyrics and music. But nowadays Scott-Heron is having problems with drug use sad It's a shame to, because he's prolific!

Harlepolis

I think he should invite some Diva inside his Paisly:

Mariah Carey-Since she's a huge fan and dear friend of his. Besides, she's FUNKY(We all know that she can bring the Minneapolis sound--GLITTER) when she wants 2 and SOULFUL when she wants 2.

Dawn Robinson-This is sistah is FUNKY!

T-Boz-She's a huge fan and a dear friend of his as well.

Missy & Tim-Boy that would be slammin since both of 'em are strongly influenced by him.

Gwen Stefani(Again)-So far, So pleased is the one of the finest cuts in RAVE!

Cassandra Wilson-Since he can't get enough of JAZZ MUSIC.

Lauryn Hill-PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Janet Jackson-Sometimes she can bring the Minneapolis sound.

Thats all I could think of!

I would to but, Mr. Heron is too gone on the drugs to even write, rap, sing or perform. What good is that?? I just hope he recovers, because nowadays, we need him in music!

Meshell or BUST.

And I ain't talkin' about just her playing bass on his music, or her singing a duet with him.

A

Full

COLLABORATION.

Damn straight.

Not some pushover who'd be lost without him, or someone who owes their livelihood to some producers and a studio that can overcome their musical deficiencies.

'S what I'm talkin' about.

If Björk ever meet Prince, she would end up like Sinead O´Connor did. They are two strong characters to get on with one another.

M'eshell probably won't happen unless...

Dionne Farris - Again, she's an independent artist so there would be no need to worry about hurting her relationship with the industry (see No Doubt). She can sing rock, soul, and jazz.

With his stance against The WB, artist are less likely to work with Mr. Nelson (or release any song he works on).

Mariah: It seem like he is working with her through Jimmy am and Terry's production. He's probably not going to be listed in the credits, but he is helping.

I would like to see Prince go out on a limb and work with people with completely different styles, like Radiohead or
Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

On a personal level, I wanna hear Prince with Muse or Bowie!

I don't think this theory has any basis in fact.
Gwen Stefani, Eve, Maceo Parker and even Meshell has worked with him. In a limited capacity on one of the Emancipation songs.
