Prince needs to be careful

http://www3.contactmusic....ndex40.htm

Remember, this is the era of Simon Cowell. He is very influential and could well destroy Prince's career!

C`mon people get real.Who really gives a flying fuck what Cowell says? He`s a pantomime dame whoose amusing yet disposable comments everyone 4gets as soon as the credits roll.On the X-Factor(UK version of American Idol)he`s backed 2 previous winners who have now been dumped by their record companies! The one winner he slated (Will Young)is now multi-platinum selling!
2 be honest IMHO I love the fact that Prince used the program as a platform & then strutted off ignoring the desrerate wannabees & the ridiculous host!!

I agree...comon give it up who really cares. I saw footage from Extra and it was such a little blurb of what he was talking about. Also who is Simon to talk about how rude Prince is when Simon's MO is being rude. Thats what his whole career is built on being a catty asshole. While I am suprised that he would make those comments about Prince especially considering Prince's legend and reputation for not interacting with anyone...I guess I shouldn't be. In any case it simply is nothing...much to do about nothing...zero. Who cares

Simon Cowell is to Prince what Ashley Simpson is to Patti Smith. Or Tony Danza to Al Pacino. At least, Prince has the mammoth talent to make the self-importance somewhat tolerable. Not so Mr. Cowell, who has not brought one thing original to the music world either directly or indirectly.

Simon Cowell can't do nothing to Prince's career that prince isn't already hardly at work at. Prince distroyed his own career. Time to consider retrierment Prince.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

I always have to smile when these little snippets get circulated in the media because it's so obvious that they choose the things that might get folks rankled and/or sell more papers.

Where was Simon's outrage and disgust when Shakira and Wyclef Jean showed up to perform several weeks back? There was no reason for them to be there aside from using the show to sell more units. I haven't heard any reports that they shared valuable lessons in rappin' and booty-shakin' with the contestants. So why does Simon have his knickers in a twist over Prince doing the same?

I agree with Velvet -- he felt slighted 'cause he thought Prince should hold him and the show in higher esteem and he's miffed because Prince hit it and quit it without kissing his ass.
I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

Actually, Simon is more well known as a pop culture icon of these days then prince is. It's more likely people would be saying "Prince who?" rather then "Simon who?".

S.C. should be happy that he was allowed to be in the same room as Prince. How many hit records has this man produced btw? How many hit songs has he written? Was he ever mentioned as an influential musician by music magazines or other artists? He should shut the fuck up. He can be glad Prince didn't sh.t on his jury desk.
