Private Prince Concert: How Much Would You Pay? A Chicago band called Local H held an auction on eBay. The highest bidder will get a concert by the band wherever the winner wants the show, in their yard, at a club, a school, or wherever.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...=894365562 Local H started the bidding for their show at $500 and the winning bid to get the show was $9,701.00. So, if Prince were to do this, at what amount should the minium bid be placed, and how much would you bid for a private Prince show to take place anyplace you choose?

Are you crazy this has been my Fantasy ever since I was first a Prince fan. Actually to have him play just for me I would pay Whatever the highest bidder did plus 100$.

Whatever you paid you could bootleg it and make more than your money back.

I never would of course. I would pay exactly $6.98 for Prince to play at my house. There wouldn't be room for instruments and the acoustics suck donkeys, so it wouldn't be a very good show.

The way to do this is get a group of people together to chip in until the pot is $15,000. Let's say 15 people put in $1,000 each.
The group rents a dance hall or club for $5,000. Prince would be paid $10,000 for a 45-60 minute aftershow type gig. The group of 15 people who are paying for the show can either keep the audience for the show small, like a maximum of 100 for the audience, or they can decide to open it up to more people who would pay a cover charge at the door. I think something like this could really work.

What makes you think that money would be the main motivating factor for him to give a private concert? Maybe as a charity fund-raiser perhaps.

I'll pay anybody up to a max of $250 to set up in my bad yard and play 2 1-hour sets with break. Plus you get a full plate with deserts and all the beer you can drink. test

Even Hootie & The Blowfish? This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Even Hootie & The Blowfish? Especially them! They are a bar band after all! U know they know how to party! LOL I must've been real hard on Hootie; I dont' them as muchas say Chis Cross, Kenny G or Michael Bolton. NW if any of these showed up there'd be some serious ass-kickin' goin' on. test

All you have to do is drop an email to Paisley Park telling them that the fund-raising concert is to provide assistance to 17-year-old Hispanic girls who want show biz careers and Prince will show up with his guitar and condom on. Prince

Prince has done private shows and parties before. I don't know if he's ever done one where he has been paid to perform by a fan or a group of fans, but I'm thinking that this could be a nice public relations/publicity stunt type of thing.
Maybe next year or so when he has a new album to promote, a "Win a Prince Show" promotion could be launched.

I'd throw in a case of Hawaiian Punch and a carton of peanut chews for him as well.

I can't help but think of the contest on MTV where First prize was having the movie premier and a concert for UTCM in your home town. Some dizzy country chick from Podunk-ville won and Prince had to squire this chickie-babe around all night as his "date".
Probably one of the most embarassing Prince moments on tape! I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

Forget my yard.
I want an all expense paid trip to paisley,Tour of the facilities by Prince, free concert 2 hours (songs of my choice even if edited) and a free outtake cd from vault material, free items of choice in the NPG store (which I haven't already purchased) and . . . I want to ride in the Purple Prowler. Mani can sit in the back. Does the Prowler have a back seat? Price: I couldn't afford it, but boy can i dream. **************************************************
