Don't get so offensive Gray. I mean, you should have expected lots skepticism when you started this thread. You've never mentioned anything in the past about knowing Prince and then out of the blue you start a thread claiming to know what P has been up to, when the tour is going to start and about upcoming projects because of personal conversation that you had with him. | |

Offensive? Not in the slightest. I'm actually going to enjoy the apologies to Prince when these things take place. In the end, this is NOT about me. It is about Prince and his near term future plans to give the "fans" what they want. All Prince has ever really done, (at least for my taste) is spread the LOVE of music, while most of the stuff I read here is anything BUT that. It really gets tiresome after a while. Remember that old saying, "don't shoot the messenger"? It applies here. Do you think there may be a good reason not to go around saying you have contact with or know certain people? If not, re-read some of the post here. | |

One question I do have is how YOU were choosen to be the one who shares this good news?? Exactly what were his comments on where you could/should & shouldn't "leak this information?? Also I would be interested to hear how the conversation went when you were asking Prince to prove he was the real Prince?? | |

Fair enough, but why would Prince ask you to post it on the .org and not have it posted at NPG? That seems very odd. I actually just went over there and looked around. Someone else started a thread about this thread, asking the PPs to verify. Response from PP2: Detecting frauds 101:
1) Someone claims info comes "straight from Prince" and yet it's posted on a fan site and not his own official website. 2) See #1. Now I know that NPG is not always the first to break big Prince news, but to me, it seems highly unusual that if Prince himself was the genesis for this news, he would choose a fan/site other than his official one to publicize it AND that this official site (NPG) is basically refuting it. It seems that usually if HQ or .org break the news that is valid before NPG, the PPs simply don't respond. I believe that someone whom you believe was Prince told you those things...but as far as the rest goes, the verdict's still out for me.  The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. WHy do people always go running over to the club reporting what is said on this site? 
Posting something like this at the club would not fly. Not only would something like this not get pass the mods, the regulars would rip Gray to shreds if he posted this over there. Plus, I'm sure the PP mods don't know P's every move, so it makes sense that P, if he really did say those things, would request this information to be posted here as opposed to his own site. See to me it doesn't make sense...I realize that the PPs don't know Prince's every move but for Prince to announce something this big through an "independent and unoffical Prince fan community site" seems off to me. Especially when he did the "flee from idols" bible verse in relation to American Idol on his offical site.
