MY Prince Music Experience

I have to say I had the most awesome day at a local music store. I walked into this store which deals with music and this guy that works there came up to me and saw that I had the Prince Symbol Keychain. He told me to hold on and came back and showed me his Prince Symbol Keychain which look differnt from mine. He was a Prince Fan just like I was. So we got to talking and this new friend of mine(who shall remain nameless for now) said that he has some Prince music that I might want to check out. He said come back the next day. Well I came back and he was playing a copy of the Remastered Dream Factory blaring it all over the store. The sound was so crisp it was unbelievable.

Then he took the Cd out and then he played an early configuration of PURPLE RAIN. CRYSTAL CLEAR. Better then the orginal release. He played the track POSSESSED which is the instrumental version from the background music in the movie. Not the early version that follows irresistable bitch. He started playing that track and then lo and behold, Prince started singing on the track. He was in his high falsetto voice. I was totally blown away. I have heard of the instrumental version of this seven minute track but not with vocals. Then he played the 12 minute version of COMPUTER BLUE and that ROCKED. Clear copy blaring over the speakers. With the hallway speech in it. then he breezed through the extended I would die 4 u and extended baby i'm a star and went to purple rain. That track was about a good 13 minute version with extra lyrics and long insturumental piece. It was wonderful.

Then he played a 45 minute concert from paisley park, soundboard recording. he said their was about ten people in audience that night. Man i felt like i was at the park. The concert jammed. Prince started with the most beautiful girl in the world and then the jam. But it was when he did THE RIDe was when all hell broke loose. Prince played a hell of a guitar solo. I had not heard anything like this on any album, bootleg or concert before. Prince just tore that guitar up. Why he never release this is a question i will never know. That guitar solo was so hot. Customers in the store where asking who was that and what cd can they get that from. He would have made much more Prince fans just on htat track alone. It was totally awesome. He then followed it up with SHHH and ended that song with a Wicked guiter solo.

As i left, i felt like i was at a concert. The quality on the cd was excellent. I have to thank that guy who gave me a prince ride at the music store. Plus he told me to come back and check out some more stuff soon. YOU KNOW I WILL.

And you were just to shy to get the name of the cd he was playing. Come on, you didn't ask what boot this was on so you could get it yourself. Hello, anybody home???

Hello, I the First Cd was Purple Rain COnfiguration. THe Cd is not available thru sabatoge, thunderball or whatever bootleg label thier is. THe second one with the Ride playing on it was from Pailey Park around 95 if i remember form what he told me. The collection of music that he has are not available anywhere else. He holds these mastered copys. So they have no titles because they were not released to anyone.

Yes it was his own personal collection. It is not avaliable anywhere else. I hope someday they become available one way or the other. BUt anyway as long as i at least heard it, it is fine. It is least better to hear it then to not hear it.
