I have been wondering about the conflictedness Prince must feel these days - between what used to be hot and what is now definitely not. My thoughts so far goes like this:

Consider the fact that Prince has been interested and even obsessed with the sexual side of life in all of his albums right from the beginning. But now as a Witness that's a no-no.
Yet doesn't 3121 seem positively saturated with sex anyway? So - how does he get out of it with his religious conscience clean? Well, he focuses even more than before on the dance.

Like: I know u really want me, but i will only go as far as dancing. That's a message he really strains himself to let us understand.

Imagine him doing a tour and playing som old classics in a new-and-improved manner:

"I sincerely wanna dance the taste out of your mouth"

"LoveDancy"

"Gett Off (that chair and gett on the floor)"

I don't think he sees anything wrong with sex, he's sending the message that he's just not going to cheat on his wife with some groupie tonight at 2:00am at the Bellagio, room 2379 [wink, wink].

Seriously, I think it's about sending the right message about sex. He's still the same horny Prince, though.

Plus he wants old folks & kids to be able to listen to his stuff uncensored (not to mention be different than the porn everyone else releases as music nowadays).
