Minneapolis Punk/Funk

Anyone who was into the Minneapolis music scene in the early eighties probably dug the Suburbs. Well they are finally releasing their catalog on CD this coming tuesday.
The music stations and clubs around here would often play Prince and the Suburbs back to back. They had hits locally and nationally like Waiting, Love Is The Law, Rattle My Bones, Cows, Tape Your Wife To The Ceiling and the crowd pleasing Music For Boys. Check the link and download a free mp3. Young people out there on the .org, hip yourself to some old school Punk/Funk.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I hope so. Did you catch their shows a few years ago at First Ave.?
They put out a live cd of those shows.

I didn't! Ah well. I did some looking and it appears I heard wrong. Looks like there's a definite possibilty of some in-store signing stuff w/the release of the CDs, but nothing firm on any shows.
