now now now
cmon Mckellen and Stewart are fine fine fine and lets be honest they actually anchor the storyline.

I think both of them bring more development to each character than whoever directed it or wrote it.

I think the X-men franschise would have barely made the cut without them.

Heh. See the paycheck they're getting, and you'd be in their shoes in a heartbeat.

So, Prince and his friends chose to shut people out of the movie because they didn't want to be bothered with the little people. Was he unable to call the movie producers and get his own copy of the movie to watch on his own movie screen?

Whenever I hear about celebrities pulling this kind of thing it pisses me off. The "I have endless amounts of money and can do whatever I want at other peoples expense, because I just don't care" attitude it creates a little dark spot of hate in my heart for the celebrities.

It's too bad that Prince is in that catagory. Disappointed.

Folks, we live in a world were people that make millions of dollars a year, go to an award ceremony and receive gift bags worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and it's probably stuff that they already have. Maybe one of these days the money $1,000,000,000.00 will be enough money for these people.

Anyway, I know this was a rant and that I'm going to catch hell for it, but society's selfish behavior, rich or poor makes me sick.

"Common Courtesy" is dead.

it may seem totally snobbish, but look at it like this: if you were famous, would you prefer to have a private screening of a movie in a theater by yer lonesome or with a few close companions, or go to the same movie surrounded by paparazzo and tons of gawking, drooling, uber-fammy farkjoys who don't know you from sugar bear (and vice-versa) keep interrupting you while you're trying to watch the film?

yeah-yeah-yeah, you may say, being gawked at is all a part of being famous and he shoulda dealt with that shit eons ago, but hey: he and other stars have just as much of a right to privacy as you and i have. ain't really something to be disappointed about, really.

Totally. He doesn't lead the same kind of existance that we do. Not that he is better than any of us..it's just that he has to take certain steps to protect is privacy that we don't have to. His life is quite different than ours...think of it if every time you went out to a club how would you like it if people you have never met in your life were staring at you, trying to talk to you, or sometimes being downright obnoxious to get your attention when all you want to do is relax like everyone eles? I'm sure he appreciates his fans but some people act so childish and lose their manners when a celebrity is around.

Personally i didnt think it was bad at all. I think its good that they arnt following the comics very much, makes for an all new story. But wat they did to the Professor is a bit annoying but oh well.
I dont know if any of u guys noticed this, its pretty silly but i found it funny, the chick that Magneto makes shoot out shcokwaves at the end one of my mates said when watching it as if its not the mutant version of Prince! haha all that she needed 2 do was go OWWWWW when shooting he shit and it would b a female P haha

Oh yeah, Arclight...my friend actually pointed that out to me during the movie, he's like, "Look! It's Prince!" I hadn't even noticed until he said that - but you're right!
The model who plays her is so hot IMO...do a Google image search for Omahyra. drool

I guess I have to join the minority here I liked the movie. I hope Prince and his friends enjoyed it. I have been an avid reader of X-Men comics for years. It is one person's vision of what the comic book would look like in real life. As a fan I know that some of the incidents that happened on screen would never happen in the books. But, I watched it as a movie by itself and it was enjoyable. It was never boring. I did not know until joining this site that Prince likes sci-fi and fantasy movies. Should have known most creative people do.

This makes perfect sense considering his musical abilities are sort of Mutant-like anyway. Hell, Warner Brothers can be Magneto.

I love the Xmen. I went to see it again after my friend told me they showed Apocalypse after the credits. They must be showing different surprises because we got Moira instead. Boo!

I thought the chick Storm electrocuted was supposed to turn Angel into Archangel in this story? Somebody help me out?

I got that surprise also. Nowhere did I see Apocolypse. I doubt Bret Ratner would have been so conniving as to make different surprises.
