Into the Light/I Will vs. Pheromone OK folks. I need some help. I'm posting my Top 50 songs of the 90's on my Blog, and I've reached a brick wall when it comes to Prince. I've narrowed it down to my two faves: Into the Light/I Will and Pheromone. I can't decide between the two.
Which one would you pick out of those two? Whichever one gets the most votes will be the one I choose. Thanks in advance!!

Not keen on either, but if I had to choose...
Pheromone. | |

Into The Light sounds too much like Dolphin.
I Will is neither here nor there. Just kinda meanders along with no real intent. Pheromone at least has a pulse.

Pheromone is a fantastic pop song.
Love it, & definitely better than ITL/IW

Pheromone!
and i agree with cloudbuster that Into the Light sounds too much like Dolphin, whilst never quite reaching it's momento and I Will just meanders along, going nowhere. Pheromone is original, beat heavy, smutty and perverted. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I would choose "Into The Light" without "I Will" 'cos that's a different song.

Into the Light/I Will. I love 'em.

ITL/IW -- far better songs. Timeless.
Pheremone sounds dated (despite its funkiness), and it's a little too bizarre for me...

come on, ya'll. It's tied 4 to 4. I need more opinions please

i went with Into the Light/I Will
Here is what I posted about it: Prince released several albums in the mid-to-late 90’s that only the most fervent fans really paid attention to. His 90’s work was undeniably uneven compared to his 80’s triumphs, but he was still capable of some amazing material. “Chaos & Disorder” released in 1996 is an almost forgotten album. It’s a short, quirky record made up of material recorded around the same time as “The Gold Experience”, and was designed to complete his contract with Warner Brothers. Despite its brevity, “Chaos & Disorder” included some great tunes, especially “Into the Light/I Will”. One of Prince’s loveliest melodies, and some stellar guitar work…. Too bad it was hidden away on an album that received almost no promotion, and became a mere blip on the album charts. The vocal harmonies on the "I Will" segment are particularly beautiful. If this song were released today, given Prince’s much higher profile, it would generate quite a bit of notice, in my opinion. “Into the Light/I Will” is one of Prince’s many great hidden gems. For every Top 10 single, he has a dozen songs just as good that only the die-hards seem to know about. It's amazing to think that he can waste a song like this on a throwaway project, when most artists would give anything to create something at this level.

Both those songs are truly beautiful.

That'd be a tie for me. The guitar solo at the end of "I will" is just too delicious!

It seems I'm almost against everybody...but definitively, In2 the light/I will.U have a great piano work on it, as well as a beautiful guitar solo with good saxophone and vocal harmony. As a musician, the robotic and dark mood of Pheromone sounds poor if U compare.

the main problem with Pheromone:
Prince should NEVER use words like "gat." It's just wroooong.
