Which album suits you personally? Which album by Prince (or any other artist) suits you stylistically more than any other? This is not a question regarding your favorite album, but rather one which reflects your personal taste. For me, the album is "1999." It is a masterpiece of trippy experimental synth funk with subject matter with which I greatly identify. "1999" was my first album and I owe a lot to the title track, which was integral in getting me into music in the first place. "Something in the Water (Does Not Compute)" may be the song that I identify with most. "All the Critics Love U in New York," "Delirious," "DMSR" and "Automatic" bring me back to my childhood when I was first listening to them and marvelling at the depravity of the subject matter. I owe a great deal to this album for opening my eyes to music.

Lovesexy,
it represents all those things in life that are hardest to do, and how actually doing them sure enough was trying. So, you fail. And then dance on. Glam Slam is my most identifiable Prince song. Also my favorite. It's funky in a flower way. This cryptic message was brought to you by Lovesexy, not the NPGMC heavy feather flicka nipple baby scram water ripple

TRC..It's stripped down, professional,AND conceptual..and i just "FEEL IT"..I'm probably the only person who LIKES the "deep voice" on the album! And...I like "The Feast"(?)! AND it SOUNDS great on a great speaker system.

Bloody office parties! What's up, my drunken brother?!!! Just feeling sick and sorry for myself. I think the only thing that can fix me up is another drink. In Australia we call that having "hair of the dog that bit you". I think I'll steel myself and have some hair of the dog. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

I will have you soon... you are my Juliette. I don't know whether to believe you or not...all this "sparrow" and "hellcat" stuff... Seems you are the ladies man...do you need a bottle of Courvoisier? I don't wanna hear it if that's spelled wrong! Thanks, Ice...for bringing that to my attention. . [This message was edited Thu Jul 25 19:54:39 PDT 2002 by AzureStar]

I also like the deep voice on Rainbow Children. I never understood the deal about it taking away from the album. Well, I kinda do, but...it's not too bad heavy feather flicka nipple baby scram water ripple

That's partly why we as Blazer/Laker fans (be gentle with me, I'm a lamb ) have a bond, Moon; we LOVE the 1999 album. I could name multiple Prince albums, but 1999 has intangibles I never tire of. Also: Jack Johnson - Miles Davis Plantation Lullabies - Meshell Ndegéocello John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman - John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman Ani DiFranco - To The Teeth Kid A - Radiohead Headhunters - Herbie Hancock Led Zeppelin II - Led Zeppelin Electric Ladyland - Jimi Hendrix [This message was edited Thu Jul 25 20:23:25 PDT 2002 by Supernova] This post not for the wimp contingent.
