I was 13 when I first heard this song. I can't say that I knew exactly what he was talking about. This was '83 and I was not as sophisticated as these kids today are with sexual messages. But as I got a little older I figured it out and I must say this is one of the most cleverly written song in Prince' career. Prince is a genius, plain and simple.

Classic Prince tune and most definitely cleverly written .

the added bass line and guitar in the middle had a missing element 2 an already classic song!! (dance/extended mix!)

still get chills!

This song is to Prince what "Born to Run" is to Springsteen. they really sum up everything people like about him, and put it in a nice little package.

Both songs also broke each artist and took a very long time to record and get just right.
