Man at this point in time, it doesn't matter how good the song is anymore. Look at a song like "Laffy Taffy" by D4L, which was big and had hit #1 around the time Black Sweat came out. It's all about if you are in good standing with Clear Channel. Prince isn't. Therefore, he's not going to get any airplay, no matter how good the song is. PERIOD.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It doesn't matter how good the song is, but it matters that it have a catchy chorus.

Black Sweat's a fun little song, and I enjoy it, but it doesn't have a chorus that sticks with you.

Kiss has a chorus that kicks your ass and stays on repeat in your head for months. Black Sweat doesn't.

Hey Friends - I love Black Sweat, and I think it's the funkiest jam of the Spring season, BUT...don't some of you think it's the almost same song as "Feel U Up". I can't think of many other Prince tracks that resemble one another so closely (except Manic Monday and 1999).

hadn't thought of Feel U Up.... but it does remind me of Rave or Kiss recreated with Undisputed's style of drum programming.

I cant understand why all of prince's material hasnt done better in the uk.Maybe its because people are deeply stupid when it comes to musical taste.Black Sweat was Great And Fury "rocked".But whatever happens prince will have my support till im six feet under(im a real fan).

Seriously, can we stop with excuses like "Big labels are against him" and "It was too good for the charts"? It just wasn't that catchy, which means death for a pop single.
