Proof that American Idol worked !

I sent a link of the American Idol performance to a friend of mine who never liked Prince and look at the reply I got...he bought 3121 and Lovesexy this morning too...

''i have to say i was never a huge fan ken, but you have showed me and now i now realise he is up there with the best, brilliant , gifted, talented, a real star, lol he looks SO COOL and all the sexy dancers, what a showman''

My current close friends do not like him, but I don't bother trying to pursuade them anymore.

My friends and roomate from the military all buy Prince albums regularly now becuase of me. They're true converts. One of them even seeks out bootlegs.

I can't believe how well received P's performance has been by non-fans. Although it was exciting to see P perform on on AI, that performance was really not that great. If people think that was hot, just imagine what they would think if they saw Prince when he is at the top of his game.

We are talking about a general music fan that watch and LOVE shows like AI. That's say's it all. These same people are fans of people like Ace. Do u need to know more?

Yeah, it really seems like non-fans have such low standards... anything gets them excited. I think they'd just die of shock if they watched Prince at the top of his game. lol

It's like the 2004 Grammys it was a good performance, but those of us who follow him and have seen him numerous times have seen him perform much better, but everyone else couldn't stop raving about it that year.

Wot a week, Idol and vegas - what a complete sell out and crappy end to a career. I woulda prefered he OD than become some camp pandering vegas lounge act.

Precisely. I think he toned it down (if such a thing can be said) on purpose. Maybe he thought it would appeal to more ppl to do such a thing.
