I ordered the book The Vault from Uptown about a month ago and I haven't received it yet. I just went back to their website and it says they're sold out and no email address is listed for them. I paid through paypal.

What should I do?

C'mon, 8 people have read this. Somebody has something to say, otherwise why would you read this?

I would contact PayPal and tell them that the company that you paid has yet to release the merchandise that you paid for and ask for a refund. Or for them to get involved and find a shipping date for you.

It's gonna take a while for you to get it.

I suggest that first of all you email Uptown, explain the circumstances providing as much detail as possible, and ask them to provide a reason for the delay.

My experience with them is 100% positive over the years, so I would take it up with them as best you can in the first instance to give them every reasonable chance to resolve what might be a genuine misunderstanding or oversight.

I ordered mine a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting.

It is hard to find so it might take longer to come.

I got my copy of THE VAULT though madhousemusic.

It took exactly two days to arrive without any hassle.

My advice is never to order anything through Uptown.

I ordered mine from Uptown. It took a while, but I guess it didn't really bother me.

It is an amazing doument of his life and music. I can't believe anybody could clock someone so hard. It's like a day-by-day account of Prince's life. I can't wait for the next one to come out.

Can't get me to harsh on Uptown. If they weren't doing it, who would be?

a couple of months ago, i was looking around at the site, and it said something about getting your order filled and sent more quickly if you buy one of the signed copies off of the rep. in America.

I ordered "the Vault" in AUGUST 2005 and, although Uptown quickly accepted my payment, I never received the book and was never contacted. I've e-mailed numerous addresses numerous times (including that of "Gav" mentioned earlier in the thread) and never received so much as an auto-response.

It's interesting to see that some are actually receiving the book with no problem despite the fact that they ordered more recently than myself. I guess it's really just a crapshoot. If anyone can help, post here or orgnote me please.

i got my book a few years ago...i wonderd the samething....said it was soldout

they found my order ....and every thing was all good
what took so long was...something about the print
I cant remember exactly what it was...
But sure e'nuff it came
just took longer then expected
but worth the wait
