"Automatic" this song showcases Prince's funky ,quirky/sexy side. The imagery alone is awesome.

Of this "Quick!" series this is the only one that makes me pause long.

Key considerations: Little Red Corvette, Lady Cab Driver (great symbolism throughout, great lyrics), and International Lover (Prince at his boldly, seductive best)

But alas my choice is Little Red Corvette

It's easy to see he awoke and a Dream Muse gave this to him as the story goes.

These lyrics are good. While Prince is always a genius musician, it's easy, especially now, to doubt his lyrical prowess. But in the old days, he cranked like this:

"I guess I should have known by the way you parked you car sideways..." great line to show her impatient, careless approach to sex.

"I guess I must be dumb, she had a pocket full of horse, Trojans and some of them USED!, but it was Saturday night..." impulse weekend sex that you know you should avoid but can't let get away.. smile

oooh, those were the days.

All the songs are hot. I just wish that "Moonbeam Levels" was on the album along with "Irresistable Bitch", "Purple Music", "Extra Lovalbe", "Baby U're A Trip" and "Chocolate".

Look out now!

"Lady Cab Driver"
Who's the private d*ck that's a sex machine to all the chicks?
Who's the man that would risk his neck for his brother man?
Who's the cat who won't cop out when there's danger all about?
John Shaft ... Damn Right!

I like the fact theres way more variety to the answers on this one, shows just how solid this album is, truely no bad tracks. My favourite, and its a surprise to me cause I used to dislike it, Something in The Water. The live version he did at the ONA soundcheck in Montreal was off the scale, fantastic smooth jazz version, made me go back and listen to it alot since!
