I've had my suspicions since I saw him on the Brit Awards. Man, something just doesn't look right.

Also, remember that Chris Rock interview on VH1 back when Emancipation came out. You could really see how much his hair was thinning....even looked downright bald in some places. Now is hair is thick. Too thick.

Oh, by the way. Notice the comb he pulled out during the performance never touched his hair....?

i think his hair always looks just fine. sometimes he has "new hair" growing in around his sideburns and temples, and sometimes he has some really wide parts that can look like bald spots from weird angles with weird lighting. but honestly, after seeing him a bunch of times close up at shows over the past few years, if he's wearing pieces, he's got me fooled.

His hair is pressed not permed. That's what pressed hair tends to look like if if you just blow dry and hot curl it without pressing it really, really straight. And if any humidity gets to to it, it will look puffy. Had days like that myself. No big mystery.

Don't get me wrong he permed for years. But I suspect it did start taking out his hair. Once I saw him with that little 'fro back in 2003 or so in the tour book for One Nite Alone (Japan). I suspected he must have stopped perming.

I think it's just that Prince has had a few horrendous hairstyles. (hello, suburban housewife Graffiti Bridge hair.)
Doesn't make him any less of a musician. It's just one other thing to talk about. In general, I love all of it, from the spandex shorts and suspenders through the admittedly sort of stupid looking bi-level suit jackets. But it's always all his own.
It's just that his hair was just really bad on AI. There's just no getting around it.

If Prince's hair is fake, then he needs to let Bono where to get the good stuff, cuz his is hurtin'.

lately his hair (what is left of it anyways) has looked very frizzy. and that is an indicator (at least to me) that he is doing the ol' press 'n curl rather that using a chemical hair relaxer. On American Idol, I thought I was seeing the beginnings of a poofy comb-over type look. i was a little scared...i don't know why. I am one of the few fans who will admit that how Prince looks is important to me.
