Prince and Meshell Ndegeocello I was hanging over at U2B  and I found an interview with Meshell saying how it was her dream to be Prince's bass player and I got to thinking how awesome that would be. So what do you guys think? Would that be cool or what? | |

Meshell and Prince have recorded together. She's actually on the "Emancipation" CD on one cut (uncredited). Meshell said that they have recorded other songs together but they're in Prince's "vault".
Meshell would be an awesome bassist in his band. There's a link of her jamming bass acapella on "Let's Work". And anyone that talks shit about Meshell knows nothing about her or her music. | |

I'd love to see Meshell just funk out on her bass.
And, I'd love to see Prince try to keep up.
They have really similar styles on the bass, all jokes aside. I always thought the intro to "If That's Your Boyfriend" (the video) was extremely Prince-like, with the instrumental intros interspersed with bitter dialogue. Meshell's the bomb. So much more than a bald head. | |
