wouldn't that be great, focussed, no room for crap and a limited amount of space to dazzle his audience with. Just like most of his Cds upto the early late 80's [aside from 1999 and SOTT].

He was limited to a 4 track album not that long ago, remember...and that was utter shite.

He was never "limited" to a 4 track. He decided to do it that way. ANd there was nothing limiting with each 14 min song. It flowed pretty freely.
