I think that many people forget how old p is. Hes 46 I think, its very confusing cos he dont look it.

If I hadn't seen him dance at the Hit-N-Run shows I would agree with the age thing, but he was still doing splits and stuff then and that wasn't too long ago...

- I agree, I love his showmanship, but I always get bored when he puts his showmanship in front of his music, because MUSIC should always come first. Miles Davis and Frank Zappa didnt know how to dance, but they made great music. Prince never played guitar so well in his whole career like on the ONA tour.


- Well, I agree that some songs are indeed dull. I think the ONA tour is much based on ´smooth jazzy´ stuff like ´Mellow´, ´Muse´ and ´Other side of the pillow´, but it´s one of the first concerts that had complete SONGS. I have bootlegs of several different tours. I dont listen to most of them anymore, because I get tired of things like repeating ´NPG is in the MF house´ more than 10 times, or extended grooves just to back up Prince and Cat dancing. Every tour had lots of unnecessary chants, loops, medleys, speeches, etc. ONA tour is special because for the first time it´s intimate, the songs are played non-stop and the musicians have more freedom than before.

I wouldn´t be surprised if Prince stopped caring about some fans. I still have the impression that lots of his fans don´t grow up or are able to appreciate the MUSIC (I am NOT talking about you, Joey ). They still want Prince do be a ´hit maker pop rock star full of make up´ from PR.

Actually Joey Coco, I think you're the moron. Don't speak of things you don't know as fact. Jimi Hendrix did play with his teeth sometimes and I have a video of him doing it and an interview on video, in which he says he's sick of doing it. He was around long enough to have fairweather fans. When he played European festivals in 1970 some concertgoers were booing because they wanted the old freakshow he used to do. Sort of like now with people expecting Prince to do the same. So explain where you're getting your information if you don't mind.

Michael still hits those same moves he's been doing for 20 years now, and Madonna was twirling around in the air in her last concert, so age has nothing to do with it, so long as you're fit (which Prince seems 2 B).

His legs may be a different story though - I always suspected that all his jumping off of pianos and speakers in those high heels would catch up w/ Prince someday!

He broke his ankle a few years ago.
Once you break it,it is never the same.

dancing is sensual when prince does it, so he doesn't do it much, unless he has on tunics or robes 2 mute his moves...

Tho' he may not be dancing like he used to anymore, I don't think I will be missing that so much.
The odler he gets the nicer it would be if he got a little more tasefull and classier.

i think he has been watching Maceo doing it too lately. That man does dance a little on stage, but in his suit, so not too funky lol.

I don't know... I think some fans still live in the 80's when they have Prince on their mind.

Sure he shouldn't stop dancing completeley, but he surely doesn't need to take his clothes off and roll over the stage like he used to.

As for the age thing, the Stones are in their 60's and Mick still rocks all over the stage. Talk about energy!!! Those guys wear me out just watching them. So really the age thing shouldn't matter. Maybe he is still hurt that makes sense. Oh and JW's have no problem with dancing.
