What I want to ask...Did Prince ever perform on SNL?

I just saw an old episode of Saturday Night Live with The Time and was wondering if Prince was ever on the show. If so, what did he play?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

He also did a Kick-ass performance of Party-up in 1981.after he performs he kicks the Microphone stand down. He was so Rebellious and Punk at that time with the Shaggy Hair and ripped Raincoat. He was the coolest Rude Boy around.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but...

THANKS VAGINA!

I was tryina remember which track he did. I've seen Electric Chair and knew he was on in the early 80s, but I couldn't remember when and what he did...

I would LOVE to see that performance...

I saw the Partyup performance a few years ago. I think it's probably his best one-song tv peformance. Dr Fink is the coolest in his surgeon suit. He probably has the stiffest moves on stage since kraftwerk. I think he should be reinstalled in prince's band. In his 1981 surgeon suit of course. And prince should search his closet for that rude boy pin.
I woke up sunday morning with no way to hold my head that didn't hurt
and the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I had one more for dessert

yeah, that was a cool performance. and that "rude boy" pin was kinda common at that time. i once saw someone wearing it in 1983 and automatically thought they were a Prince fan... when i started talking about Prince they looked at me crazy-like and didn't understand why. hmph. i later saw the same pin for sale in a store that had all kinds of buttons, pics, magnets, stickers, etc.

Anyway, i wouldn't mind him getting out that "Love God" pin these days either. he wore that a lot during the early 80s also, not to mention "make love not war" and some other things. a little nostalgia's kinda nice. i wonder how much stuff he's kept over the years? including all that funky fashion.

He was also scheduled to perform at the '95 season opener, but cancelled. David Spade mocked him on his Hollywood Minute segment. It was the only funny part of the entire show.

The Rude Boy pin was a punk pin and the Clash Had a movie Rude Boy. Prince was into Punk back then. I wish he would release a video from the Bottom Line and the Ritz from 81. Funny I wasn't a fan back then . I really don't know how I missed his performances my sister used to go to the Ritz all of the time and I lied about my age to get in. He always played around my Birthday.

The "Rude Boys" were a youth subculture of Jamaica originally. They were gangster types and hoodlums. English groups like the Clash, Madness, and The Specials were very much influenced by Ska and Reggae, which led to them co-opting the Rude Boy image.

Apparently, he was booked to perform sometime after he changed his name, prompting David Spade to dub him "The Artist Formerley Booked to Appear on This Show, and Then Flaked on Us" and threatening to kick his ass during a Hollywood Minute segment...

Don't know what the story was there, but Spade suggested he change his name to "Cornflake".

Now there's a matchup: David Spade vs. Prince.

Yeah I think I got the Electric Chair performance somewhere but I never really dug that song so I was kinda dissapointed when he did that one.
