Are the 'normal people' to whom you're wanting Prince to cater all as indignant and demanding as yourself? biggrin As I read your post, I imagined a huge throbbing vein protruding from your temple as you angrily pounded on your keyboard.

Relax. One day your Prince will come tour.

Until then, I suggest a lovely, leisurely lavender scented candlelit bubblebath followed by a cup of hot cocoa and a nice nap.

You forgot to mention the lucky contest winners who had the opportunity to go to his house and stand on the same level a few feet from their musical icon.

i think its a totally reasonable request. i don't see why people are knocking rockability for stating the obvious. shrug personally, though, i'd rather he wait to announce a tour (and subsequently sell tickets) until after the reports from the vegas shows come back. this way i'll know if its gonna be worth my money and time. if it turns out to be a hits show i'll just as soon save my cash.

You didn't see many exclamations by my statement, yet you see a protruding vein. That is because its the truth. I'm not mad, I'm wondering why Prince, the guy who hates critics and suckups, is now a sycophant out to attend to every rich socialite prior to any tour. There has been a year-long news rundown here of his efforts to please all the socialites who, as you say, spend their time leisurely with lavender scented candelit bubblebaths followed by a hot cup of hot cocoa and a nice nap. How about the real folk who work for a living and want some entertainment?

Good luck with that Prince. You are losing your base to the rich who don't buy your work but only boast of attending your par tay.

I have been to every large arena tour. I didn't go to 1 night alone, as it was sold out in a few seconds and was in a small venue.

Don't wait for an announcement to save money. Save now. No matter his mindset or religious belief, he is incapable of not providing a mindblowing concert. The only thing that let me down with Lovesexy and Musicology was a very short encore. I had the feeling the arena venue doesn't allow for long shows anymore here in seattle at Key Arena. Sad.

This is hilarious. YOU can't afford to go this weekend therefore Prince does not care about the working people. LOL!!

Did Prince not fly some folks out for FREE to his home for a small concert. Did Prince not throw a few concerts with Tamar months ago, where fans got to shake his hand and dance on stage with him for a $31 TICKET PRICE.

Why don't you just wait to see what future tour dates and prices are like before you pass judgement? Jeez.

he always puts on a good show, i agree. what i was saying was i don't care to see a hits revue again, good show or not. since 1996 prince has done at least 4 hits tours yet he's released 6 single disc records and two multi disc records in the same time. yawn

i love p's music...all of it. he's got far too much material to continue repeating himself. (i want to take this opportunity to say how much i enjoyed hearing the question of u and shhh on the musicology tour!) one nite alone was such an amazing tour and it was because he was into the music he was performing. it was new, fresh, and exciting to him. when prince does a hits tour you can just tell that he's doing it blindfolded. there's no effort, no hunger...it's just a great performer giving another great performance. i know that sounds funny but those of us who have seen him over the years (supporting current work as well as simply doing the hits) know what i'm saying.

but hey, maybe i'm just spoiled and jaded. it happens to the best of us.

I'e heard about the Chili Peppers touring, Tom Petty and Springsteen. I think it might be a tough summer for touring though, I have been seeeing alot of ads for shows in May and June that normally woul;d be sold out by now.

The big show for me other than Prince is Steely Dan with Michael McDonald! should be pretty cool.

hmm...I think I'm sensing the same thing. I'm starting to think 3121 is dead in the water and prince has already lost interest, and is already working on a new album.
"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok
