The TIME, LARRY GRAHAM & PRINCE LIVE MAY 26th in VEGAS This from NPGMC:
Morris Day & The Time Hit Las Vegas! MORRIS DAY & THE TIME with special guests PRINCE and Larry Graham & GCS will per4m Friday May 26 at CLUB RIO in Las Vegas at The Rio Hotel. Members of the NPG Music Club will be able 2 buy presale tickets on Monday, May 22th at 12 noon Pacific Time in the Backstage Pass Room. There will be a 2 ticket limit. The tickets will cost $121.03 each and are general admission. The show is 21 & over and doors open at 8:30 PM. *** Should be a good show. Larry has obviously got GCS back together. If there is a tour I think it very likely Larry will be there. I like Larry so that's cool for me. [Edited 5/21/06 3:06am] | |

You may like Rhonda better personally, but to say that she's a better bass player that Larry. Come on now. Just pull out some of Larry's albums. The brother can straight up jam. | |

Larry is superlative. Nobody could listen to Larry's '70's GCS albums and claim Rhonda is a superior player. However, I hope Larry has a new set with different songs. Some of the best GCS songs he never seems to play live. | |

Thetan, I totally agree with you on that fact. For some reason Larry chooses not to play some of what I think are the better songs from GCS live. He still plays the hell out of that bass but he tends to stick to those same songs. | |

well, i think it has less to do with Larry's musical prowess than his negative effect on Prince's. He's a legend as a musician. But he is damaging Prince's legacy. | |
