Do you think Prince is a fan of his music?

I'm sure he likes him. In today's music, Prince probably just likes anyone who actually plays an instrument.

Didn't Lenny play on Endorphinemachine too?

And of course, Prince answered Rock N Roll Is Dead with Rock N Roll Is Alive...

Lenny's class... I still can't get over how great Are You Gonna Go My Way is. The drums on that one are tight!

Lenny has had maybe 5 good tunes imo his music is bland compared to prince- he made Lenny look pish on the guitar on the rave disc when they had the guitar solo stand-off 2.

"Alaways on the run" is a good song which Lenny and Slash wrote i like that song.

I dont think Prince notices him very much. Lennys a gimmick dude, who dresses in hippy clothes and plays seventies style rock and freakout Hendrix blues. Its nothing that original. Lenny has a few appealing pop hits, but Prince would see him more like a Michael than a Miles. Hes a pop lightweight that barely registers in Princes orbit. He probably thinks Tamar has more Skillz than Lenny

Didn't Prince try to imply that Lenny's song "Again" was a rip-off of "Wherever U Go,Whatever U Do"?

I seriously doubt it. Tamar has a nice voice but is nothing special... Lenny is an accomplished musician and a decent songwriter. Prince recognises that even if many of his snobby fans don't.

how come any time another artist is mentioned here Prince fans have the need to criticize them. are you guys so insecure about the liliputian of your worship you have to tear everyone else down to keep him high on his pedestal?

Prince's abilities stand for themselves. everyone else doesn't suck just because they aren't as talented as Prince.

I don't see how a critique of Lenny has anything to do with the topic at hand.
this message brought to you by logic.

I don't know what Prince thinks of Lenny but I know I used to think he was a complete poser until I saw a couple of interviews with him. Musically, he's not all that but the brotha has his head on straight and his life philosophy is that of someone I know I could hang with. He knows who he is and isn't living in a dream world. Prince on the other hand, would eventually have me arrested for whooping his lil' ass. Dude is pretentious and elitist and I can't stand elitists. In conclusion, I'd say HANG WITH LENNY BUT PLAY MUSIC WITH PRINCE.

Well, it would be silly to think that Prince put these 4 chords together this way for the first time in history. It's not like it hasn't been done 1000 times before. I'm trying to think of one of them...how about...'Mayonaise' by Smashing Pumpkins. Same riff. And 10x cooler than Lenny's or Prince's take, I might add

I'm not saying that Lenny stole it from Prince.... I was answering the question posted above 'Didn't Prince try to imply that Lenny's song "Again" was a rip-off of "Wherever U Go,Whatever U Do ?
and my answer is He sure did (Implied that Lenny did)..

I really hated that Rave dvd. To me it was just depressing, seeing how the "mighty have fallen". It just looked like 3rd-rate Sign o the Times movie

And even though I'm a huge Kravitz fan, I couldn't care less about him live. It's all about the studio for him
