Prince releases too much music

Sign 'O' the Times seems to be the album that fans and critics regard as Prince's last stunning album, and the yardstick that all new releases are compared to. Lets not forget that this was actually a compilation of different projects and recordings such as Crystal Ball(originally a triple album) and the Camille sessions.Cutting all this to a double made it truly exceptional.
So with all the new music floating around at the moment, maybe a similar idea from the High, mini-EP, TRC and ONA recordings would have produced a new SOTT, returning him to the heights he once was/deserves to be.
I'd be intersted to see what orgers would rather have, but this would be my album choice.

CD1 CD2
1) One Night Alone 1)Xenophobia
2) High 2)Cybersingle
3) The Work Pt.1 3)When Will We B Paid
4) U Make My Sun Shine 4)A Case of U
5) Judaskiss 5)Pearls B4 the Swine
6) Everywhere 6)She Loves Me 4 M e
7) 1+1+1=3 7)Family Name
8) Underneath The Cream 8)When I Lay My Hands On U
9) Supercute 9)The Everlasting Now
10)One Song 10)The Last December

Well I'd buy it.
What about U?

ZaZa

I think you shortchanged ONA. Only 3 songs?
But then I don't think ONA's simplicity works with big production numbers like High.
Would have picked any number of songs before Cybersingle.
And most fans haven't heard Xenophobia so you are picking from unreleased works.
What no Daisy Chain???
Or Peace?

I Say:
Let him release ALL of the music he wants,
and then we have it to make our own funny little cd compilations out of biggrin lol
How many times do I play his 97 release Crystal Ball all the way through from start to finish? Hmmm... not much.
Am I happy to have all of the music to pick and choose from?
YES!
biggrin
I know what you are saying about planning his albums
out, but at this point no one cares about Prince anymore
so what does it matter? Just give us the music nuts
After the bland Rave Un2 was released & then the great TRC got crappy reviews, I have pretty much given up on anyone
paying big atttention to prince in the near future.
oh well...
keep giving us the music though!...
I'll take it
biggrin

Yes. Everything he's got. I'll pick and choose for myself what to keep. Better too much than not enough.
