Ohhh, Dirty Mind sir? Suits you sir.
Do you like to play that one for the ladies sir? Suits you sir. Do they moan sir? When you play it for them sir? Is Head your favourite song sir? Or maybe Sister sir. Ohhh! Suits you! (don't worry I haven't gone mad, this is for the Brits here, I don't think you get The Fast Show on TV in the US, Johnny Depp is a fan though) Just somewhere in the middle,

Prince purple rain suits me the best of all princerecords ,however it would always and everytime have strong competition of some others ,it is my first prince album and i may have it listened it 3500 times instead of let's say 1999 or SOTT 3000 times. It's my first love.
for the rest: -Happy mondays -pills thrills and bellyaches as kind of a timedocument .Had some good times back than. Still great music. -radiohead-OK computer. It sounds sad but for me it goes way deep. -maxwell-embrya As many others . I can 'bath'in it. This is romance i would like to have but still didn't have. -depeche mode -violator .I don't know it just fits. -aphex twin -i care because you do. If it was not already out,i would have wanted to make this. Great soft and HARD. It is electronical music. -art of noise- moments in love and more. What can i say? Great music even if you don't like music at all ,which is unbelieveble. -There will be more but this is it.

I never will tire of listening to this album. Perfection Perfection, indeed. Unfortunately I tired of listening to it about 1990. I don't think I've heard it more than 5 times since. And Lovesexy, what can I say. The songs are very good but sadly it's all ONE song, as in one track on the cd. It was pretty obvious right there that things were going to go downhill fast

Moonbeam said: Which album by Prince (or any other artist) suits you stylistically more than any other? This is not a question regarding your favorite album, but rather one which reflects your personal taste. For me, the album is "1999." It is a masterpiece of trippy experimental synth funk with subject matter with which I greatly identify. "1999" was my first album and I owe a lot to the title track, which was integral in getting me into music in the first place. "Something in the Water (Does Not Compute)" may be the song that I identify with most. "All the Critics Love U in New York," "Delirious," "DMSR" and "Automatic" bring me back to my childhood when I was first listening to them and marvelling at the depravity of the subject matter. I owe a great deal to this album for opening my eyes to music.
does it have to be prince ian? cause i dont like him i pick No doubt's Tragic Kingdom cause it's like a growth on my ass same way Purple Rain was. (btw i pick that prince album cause it was my first)

'the gold experience' was prolly the last cd that i felt really orchestrated a time period for me...it still speaks to me on a lotta levels and a lot of the thinking therein is representative of my head space even still...(what did i just say?)...songs like 'dolphin,' 'eye hate u,' 'now..' it pretty well represents a lotta different moods and textures and i can see myself somewhere in there...
..as for other artists...'godmusic' by chocolate genius is pretty on my same wavelength...like it actually spoke to me or something from the first note..same with 'citizen cope..'

:::: OK. Actually I don't even like some of the songs on OK Computer, but the strong ones outweigh any minor weaknesses and make it worth owning for me. I know what it is! You don't like Thom Yorke's whinny singing style! It's a glorious whine! I feel his pain. I told Wellbeyond that I should start a thread about sacred cows that I'm tired of or don't really get, maybe I should get my thoughts together and start that one. It would piss a lot of people off.
