Actually, I really am starting to like this song a lot. You have to admit, the sound is pretty experimental, which is something we all bawl and bellyache that Prince doesn't do enough of. In a way, the song is funny--I really don't think Prince is completely serious with his lyrics. He is having fun with his own vegetarianism.

I love the guitar effect, the chord progressions and Rhonda's bass arpeggios.

It would have made a great instrumental.

It's a good song. The only reason people hate on it is they didn't want to be confronted on their diet. Prince pushed some thoughts they didn't want to consider, pure and simple.

I don't get what red, white and blue have to do with the wrongs of killing animals for flesh and/ or dairy products.

Do people in Brazil not eat meat?
