What's the Craziest thing you ever did concerning Prince? This crazy activity can mean following him, standing on line for hrs, sneeking into private affairs, etc. What have you done in order to see Prince? Tell All no matter what . Don't be Shy.

I waited in line over night for about 7 hours in sub-zero weather for prince tix with 30+ people. 1997 was one cold winter here in Mini. But i got great seats.
One things for sure--Prince's fans are very diverse. I saw this punker guy--combat boots, army jacket, spiked hair--pull up in a minivan(kid's car seat and all) to get on line in the cold for P tix. You guys are freax! And i love it!...although i won't be waiting in line for tix in sub zero weather anymore.

I was 7 months pregnant when I heard that Prince was playing in Richmond, VA. The concert had sold out 2 days prior to my hearing about it. I grew up listening to Prince in places that he never toured near and because he was going to be in Richmond, VA and I was in Virginia Beach, VA I went to Richmond anyway just to be in the same town.
Ended up front row at my first Prince concert. I'm firmly planted in denial

Blasting Prince music??? (I say this because many people I know actually think so) I've done nothing crazy. People think I'm crazy just for visting this website every single day, as I used to, and buying all of Prince's CD's. But obviously, I continue to do so because what makes me feel good and that inspires me, is what I should care about. [This message was edited Thu Jul 25 18:30:27 PDT 2002 by Starmist7]

Arrived at the MIll City Festival in 1999 at 10:30 in the morning to be able to get up by the stage. Stayed there until the concert ended about 11 at nite and only went to the bathroom once in all that time so I wouldn't lose my place.
The second craziest thing is I paid 600 dollars for tickets to a sold out concert.

Had a ticket to a Wembley Arena concert: no good seat... only quite good... bought another ticket for a far better seat but wasn't able to give my previous ticket to anyone... so I just keep both tickets (the used one and the unused one) to prove to my friends I have really done it... by the way I was attending other P. concerts, so I did spend a lot of money... but it wxas worth it! *********************************

BTW, Wembley Arena means London and I live in Rome. Just thought of another weird thing I did: ever since 1986 I knew what music I wanted to listen to on Dec. 31st 1999 at Midnight: "1999". That night, for the first time in my life, we decided to spend New Year's strolling through the streets of Rome... but I couldn't spoil my long time project: I recorded a whole side A of a tape with both versions of "1999" and then carried my walkman with some very small speakers all around the town just to push the play button at Midnight and listen to "1999" and sing it under a waterfall of champagne someone (still don't know who!!!) poured on me while watching the fireworks show in Piazza Del Popolo. That was fun! *********************************

in 1990,my friend and i, also called andy, also as prince-crazy as i was, went on a "pilgrimage" to minneapolis. this was a big deal because we both lived in england and i was only 14. andy was 16. i don't know what the hell our parents were thinking, letting us loose on such a fool's errand..
i saved all the year before working saturdays for £1.92 an hour at superdrug (chemist/drugstore). man, it was grim, but each saturday lunchtme i'd deposit my pitiful wages in the bank, and each saturday evening i'd ink in a little more on the "funkometer chart" i had on my wall, inching it towards the magic goal week by week... so we end up going to the usa for a month, travelling by greyhound. starting in new york and working over to the midwest, then down through dallas and back out from new york.. we couldn't drink, far too young... the whole trip was in-jokes and excitement over stupid things. if we saw the word "prince", say, on some product packaging, we had to buy the damn thing. it was young and dumb! i think we both had some vague fantasy that when we got to minneapolis we'd be instantly transported into prince's inner sanctum of funkiness and colour... we played prince compilations on our walkmans constantly and bought "pandemonium" by the time soon as it hit the stores... when we actually got to minneapolis we gazed at 1st avenue from the outside, laughed at a shop with the word "beard" in the title (we had a running joke about how eric leeds was an uncomfortable-looking too-tall square in the lovesexy band, so anything about beards cracked us up) and decided we couldn't afford a cab out to see paisley park. some pilgrimage, you say. i say it was a blast!
