Not because I wanted to, but more as an exercise. I listened to some of the Emancipation stuff over & over. That album in particular seemed like Prince was trying to present something perfect--you know the whole Pyramid references and all--and I wanted to see if he'd been able to do that.

In a way he had, but not like I'd hoped he would.
