Rolling Stone's 1000th Issue Features PRINCE

Photos compiled by Rolling Stone Magazine 05/06

Great article of when Prince was interviewed... great 1980's look back.

Have you seen it?

I seen Prince didn't make the cover. Or maybe I am wrong, and he just didn't stand out.

Anyway, great cover!
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

Yeah... he made the cover... it's a color pic from the 80's, he's standing next to Tupac, behind Johnny Carson and lateral to John Lennon and Yoko and two peeps back from John Lennon of the Beatles.

so what you are saying he's rows behind Michael Jackson. Even I find that insulting.

Mike's third row. Prince - 5th.

Glass half full, buddy. Of all the artists, in all the history of rock n' roll, (well, actually, the history of Rolling Stone magazine) etc... Prince made the cover - and is prominently featured.

Sorry man, it's a "review" issue. Some good stuff too! The writers and photographers reminisce about when and how they covered that particular artist. Prince's is circa 1983-84, around the time of the film, Purple Rain. Kinda interesting... check it out.

Where's Donnie Osmond?
I've scoured over that cover at least six times, & I can't seem to locate him.

1) Find Jimi Hendrix in the front row
2) see Michael Jackson right behind him
3) find Johnny Carson behind Michael
4) Prince is right behind Johnny

You'd think with his pearly whites & always sunny despostion,
it'd be easier to spot his under-rated-talented-Mormon-bastard ass.

No - look behind Hendrix - you can only see his head, poking out with a cheeky smile.
