I've always wondered what some of u do 2 bring friends and family in 2 our purple circle?? Is there that 1 friend that u've been trying 2 4 sooo long 2 get in2 Prince?? Do u burn them a cd with songs that might be their music type?? Keeping ur fingers crossed that they might c the light?? It took my wife a concert 2 change her views. She is crazy over the ONA cd. She plays it all the time
My friend Jessie wasn't a fan(m) at all until Prince brought him on stage in Seattle. Now when I'm at work he praises Prince non-stop. So what do u do???

I've given up on getting people to like his music. I'll play it and if they want to be with me, on the day that I'm in the mood to listen to him, then they'll have to put up with it. Thankfully, no one has left...yet...some will even admit to liking a particular song after a while. Most just roll their eyes and say "here she goes again..."

Not many of the gentlemen or ladies I know like him very much at all. They usually say "Is that a woman?" or "He's just so weird."

I do nothing out of the way. Someone can like or not like, I could careless. Thats there right...I respect and dig his music but not everone else can or is interested in doing the same.


But If I have turned people on 2 Prince it was pretty easy without having 2 sell or force him on them. Prince sells himself & if people are open the magic happens...It's a matter of playing a certain song or watching a concert video I might have playing or maybe talking about his vast talents in music.

Many still don't know just how great or skilled he is as a all around performer...They may hear more about the non-music goings on then what he does in music...Or they are familer with only the surface stuff like the Purple Rain movie or certain hit songs. So if they get Purple fever over his music from what I got 2 share...then Its a beautiful thang~
