I know that it's quite early to already discuss a new single and video, but this is just for fun

Almost always when I hear a song, images come to my mind and I create my own
music video. Now, I've got this funny idea for Lolita:

Roughly it's got flashy colors, humour and an "aggressive", desperate Lolita who's trying to convince Prince to be with her, dragging him around and P having no other option than trying to keep up with her while he's making funny faces like in BS and saying Lolita U're sweeter but U'll never make a cheater out of me while Lolita's just rolling her eyes and dragging him to the next place...


Now people, create your own video for a song on 3121.

For "Love" he should wear a fedora and a single white glove.

"Love" should feature the girl from that Nike ad, or someone like her.

Still not sure about YouTube links so just go there and search with the words "nike girl".

About the concept...haven't thought about it but this is a starting vibe (the new generation of break dance)...and it suits the song.

Maybe an urban Pied Piper thing. Of course Prince plays Piper. With the words as strong as they are, you can't really ignore them. Perhaps Piper encounters various conflicts as he walks along. "Dance" will be the metaphor for love. As a new dancer joins the line...that problem is resolved and/or left behind.

So many cool ways to flesh out a Pied Piper story in an urban environment.

I doubt there'll be another single/video. For all the effort he's putting into promoting this album, I'm surprised that there's even a new one out right now.

Fury brings it up to 3 singles (4 if you count the double A-side BS/BL&B). Musicology only had 3, and he promoted the hell out of that one.

I remember reading in a thread awhile back, some Orger suggested for the video for The Dance there should be like P on a cliff over a stormy sea with flames and thunder and lightning all around and him screaming and shit..and that was pretty much the best idea for a video I'd ever heard.
