Did Prince use David Z. as an alias?

I was wondering, has Prince ever used David Z. as an alias. It has been stated that David Z. is Bobby Z's(drummer for the Revolution) brother. However, there are some albums that gives David Rivkin credit and others David Z...including Jody Watley's first album, which was produced primarily by Andre Cymone. Is it coincidence that David Z. is given credit on albums that can be directly/indirectly traced back to Prince?

Yes, I believe it is coincidence. David Z is only an alias of David Rivkin (albeit "given" to him by Prince).
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I'm pretty sure David Z is not an alias for Prince. Why would he use an existing name, and why would the real David Z let Prince use his name.

Anxiety

Didn't Prince also go by the name "Sheena Easton"? She's credited as a vocalist on "U Got the Look" and the b-side of "Sign 'O' The Times". Does that mean Prince wrote "Morning Train"? Is Prince really Australian? Wait a minute...I joined the NPGMC a couple of months ago...could it be that I am Prince? I think he is like the Borg...I've been assimilated! Help! HELP!!!

No he went by the name as AlexanderNevermind, Joey Coco, Camille, Jamie Starr, Symbol. Why did he use Jamie Starr and the STARR Company? I always wondered about this they also were used on Shelia E's Glamourous Life was this also something with the Time?
