Fury video mix different to album?

Hi,

just watched the video, and my first reaction was - yes, he mixed the guitars a bit more to the front. It somehow sounded different to the CD version (which I don't have around right now to compare).

Anyone else felt this also?

I haven't watched it.

What's worth seeing?
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

The mix is slightly different, the most obvious being the introduction of the females' voices at some points. Hopefully this mix will be released on the single, it would make it worth getting.

Strange thing for me about the npgmc version video, there are dark shapes passing in front of the camera, took me a while to realise there are like a dozen people dancing in front of Prince! Once you notice it, it gets really annoying!

i think he's trying to go for a "3121" feel
i didn't mind that as much as Prince starting to sing a certain line
but they were still staying with the previous shot, much too long
so we couldn't see Prince singing the line
plus, i'd love to "see" more camera takes on the guitar
rip it up, yeah guitar
SNL performance is still the better "video" imo

The one obvious problem with this video, is that it's a performance video in a small stage setting. Therefore, it would've made sense 2 simply release the SNL performance as the video.

I like the recorded version, and would rather see a creative video with a story line. Maybe like with a furious woman burning up his clothes, smashing up his ride... well... maybe not the ride...

Peace.

On the radio the guitars do sound more to the front of the mix.

The tongue shot is alright but I kind of agree only because there would be more impact if it ended on the eyes.

I saw it and it was a bit dissapointing. I like the song, a LOT, even the version on the cd. But this version, I don't know, it was less powerfull I guess. Or maybe the speakers of my pc suck.

It's only relatively low sound quality for playing via the internet - add that to your pc speakers, it's bound to sound a bit off. Don't judge it on the sound on there. I think it is a slight improvement, but I'd have to hear it properly.

Are they showing/selling at NPGMC? I didn't see it there.

I believe it is in the cyberclips room. You have to be a member to access that, but you can't download it as such, just view it. (well, you get a .flv file in your temps internet folder that can be played on a flv viewer if you can find one!)
