The "LoveBAZAAR" Bar-B-Q
Saturday, August 24th, 2002 - 1pm to 7pm
GARIN Park, Hayward, CA - parking $4

We’ve cooked up a great some plans to make our 2002
BBQ the best yet. This means that we’ll be bringing
the LOVE to a new location, with MORE than a few
NICE PERKS.

Our focus? To bring TO LIGHT the unity and friendship
we’ve all missed in the past year. We’d like to
extend a hand (and olive branch) to ALL of the area
groups, and make this truly a GROUP effort to come
together as ONE.

What do we have in store? Food, Frolic & Fun. There
will be performances, giveaways, outdoor games,
contests, poetry, music and more. Get ready for our
1st ever “Funk-Athelon”, an event to show which team
can really “do the do”. Oh, and believe us, we didn’t
forget the little ones.

Because this is going to be such a HUGE event, we need
your help this year MORE THAN EVER. It’s going to be
POTLUCK. Please bring the category of food item as
directed by the first letter of your last name. (We’ll
be sending reminders)

*Please make sure to label any items that are
Vege/Vegan friendly and also label all bowls, dishes,
and utencils you want returned.

Beer and Wine are allowed in the park and are on a
BYOB status.

Why is “LoveBAZAAR” spelled funny? It’s a little thing
we dreamed up, and hope you all dig.We want to
showcase people who are creative or can provide
services to our little community.

It's an effort to help support and encourage the
entrepreneurs and creative folks in our "fam".
Do you or someone you know have a bit of a creative
streak? Have you ever wondered or admired what other
folks in our Bay Family do for a living? Got a debut
CD you want to try on a funky group of listeners?
Created a “fun little” item and wanted to share? WE
WANT YOU.
We’re setting up a BAZAAR, where people can
demonstrate, promote, buy, sell & trade items or
services. We’re talking ANYTHING from catering,
fitness training, poetry, scrapbook demos, music,
instruments, photos, paintings, henna tattoos,
candles, bath products, handmade jewelry, picture
frames, massage therapy, T-Shirts, stickers, baked
goods, dance lessons, painted clothes, toe rings to
lemonade... you name it... We know our family has some
amazing ability.

Now that you know what’s on the way, are you
interested in volunteering, loaning needed items or
maybe even giving a monetary donation to help cover
costs? Any and ALL help will be GREATLY appreciated,
just let us know! (Soon you’ll be able to check out
our “wish list”, and see if you have anything you
could loan us for the day!)
