I don't post often on the org, but visit it now and then....what strikes me is that so many prince fans keep complaining. In stead of be happy with the things you get (for example a new cd every 2 year..imagine your a michael jackson or george michael fan!) its all about "why is there no promotion?", "why is there no tour?", even on the housequake-site today with the new Fury video somebody asks "Wen is the 4th video coming out???...i mean, on the day the new video is out somebody is already asking for another one!
The guy did a tour in 2004, he just released a great cd, great performances on the Brits and SNL...but still....people keep asking for something new...pitty

I happen to be a Prince, Michael Jackson and George Michael fan. Whilst it is a great thing for him to be constantly releasing new material, it's so hard to absorb such a vast volume of material.

It's so much easier to name the top 5 George Michael songs as opposed to naming the top 5 Prince songs. Likewise, George Michael and Michael Jackson seem to be far more consistent than Prince. George Michael has been pretty solid with every release, and it was only with Invincible that Michael Jackson showed any weakness (although I'd still rank it above Prince's weaker efforts).

So it is not necessarily a good thing that Prince releases lots of stuff.

WE just got spoiled. And every other fan site is the same. We just use sarcasm as a tool.

I feel the same way. Sometimes, in order to maybe be more consistent with his releases, I've often dreamed that Prince could get involved in some sort of high profile legal matter that would prevent him from making music for a few years.
