purple rain 17
cherry moon 8
sign o the times 10
grafitti bridge 12

I had friends that worked in the movie theater from cherry moon on so I didn't pay all that much wink

with purple rain, I had several people who promised me they would take me to see it since they knew what a fan I was. I saw it 4 times the first day and 3 times the second and then saw it every day until it left the theater.

I don't think I ever paid for Sign O the Times eek

I'm surprised at the amount of times some of y'all saw "Graffiti Bridge". Once was enough for me, especially after talking a friend of mine (who was an ex-Prince fan) into going with me. When we came out of that theater, she talked about me like a dog. lol

In the theaters.....
Purple Rain-3
UTCM-1 (started losing faith...)
SOTT-5 (reborn in the purple faith...)
Grafilthy Bridge-1 (ran out screaming..."my eyes, my eyes...) prolly still the worst movie I've EVER seen....

on vid/DVD.....
PR and SOTT....no count cuz still watchin....
the other two, once each....tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but doubt erased and absolute hatred of these two clunkers confirmed....YUCK!!
He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

I could watch Purple Rain forever. I don't know why. The others, not so much. I didn't even know Sign o' the Times was in theaters.

I saw Purple Rain a dozen times and 4 of those times I took 35mm pictures without a flash and got stills of practically the entire movie, some of which were pretty good! I still have them, too! I think I saw the other ones only once at the movies, but every time any one of them comes on tv, especially PR, I just can't NOT watch (even though I have them all on tape or dvd!)

I only saw them each one time apiece in the theaters. None of them had me wanting to go back and see them again. But then, in my lifetime, only two films were worth a return visit, and those were T2 and The Matrix.
