As a proud citizen of Finland i feel ashamed.

I remember when this was aired, and i was ashamed already then. Actually, the whole comedy series where this is from is utter crap, but it seems to have alarmingly big fanbase in Finland. beats me.

on the second thought... that was soooo bad that it is actually good. in some sick way.

And it's not supposed to be a "Prince imitation" per se, but rather the guy in the video is called "Haapamäen Prinssi". They had a running musical sketch in each episode where all the imaginary performers more or less resembled some known artist.

And Kummeli wasn't utter crap, damnit. It was far better than the Chappelle's show for instance.

I probably laughed way too much at that than I should have...

mostly at the first part, where that one guy in the car is yelling at the other guy. Not to be insensitive or whatever, but it sounded like complete jibberish...two Star Wars aliens arguing with each other. Hilarious.

Kummeli did their sketches on a zero budget and for everybody's surprise they become huge in the 90s. They were just as big phenomenon over here as Dave Chappelle is/was in the states, altought obviously the production values weren't exactly top-notch. Most of it was improvised, that Prince sketch probably didn't have any other outline than just the original idea of dressing up like that and having the car and the model there. They were also professional musicians so every musical piece was also a means of parody for them. Great lads, some true comedy gold there. Awful lot of crap too, but that went with the flow.

They also produced a few episode's in English but they didn't catch fire abroad. Understandable, I think.
