Week 6: 3121 sales looking weak

20% of hitsdailydouble poll in and 3121 nowhere to be seen.

A precipitous fall-off this week?

Get your assless chaps on AI fast, P!

71% and no sign of P in the Top 50. No promotion=no sales.

This tells me that something big is coming, because its very quiet and dead and I doubt that Universal would have gone with this agreement just to let things fall of like this, without any plans for something real exciting.

Not in the Top 50...sold less than 17,000 it appears.

May not hit gold unless something BIG happens soon.

I also have to add, if nothing else happens with this CD it will be one of the biggest disappoinments ever for me.

I really really like this CD and for it to be ignored (NO TOUR, PROMOTION, ETC) would REALLY PISS ME OFF!

eek

I'm convinced that Prince has moved on,for whatever reason.Perhaps he feels that he has already done his job...released two singles and made two videos.

It is all quite infuriating though. From a fan's point of view you relish a new album and the additional new vids, promotion and resulting buzz. It was all looking so good with the press in the UK and Radio 2 support. The feeling here was, "He's back!"

However, at this stage in Prince's career he is probably doing what he wants; creating the music that he likes and throwing it out there. I doubt that he cares about his chart position, doesn't need the money and doesn't care about the fame as he will always be viewed with respect in the industry.

Annoying for us because we want more!

Dream on.
Prince has lost his fire. His creativity and drive, his best years, they're all behind him. These days he just goes thru the motions. Occasionally he turns up for a brief moment and shows us a flash of brilliance, but it's purely ego driven.
He'd rather throw parties at the mansion for his coked up celebrity friends.
