Live double album un-edited with two songs from each tour he's done. No rappers, off key singing band members, or guest stars allowed.

I'll play it first and tell you what it is later.

He DID toy with the melody to "Rave" for years and years. It even surfaced as a motif on the 'Symbol' track "The Max", so I don't doubt that these riffs tend to get developed by him as time goes by. He has a tendency of revisiting his own live tapes time and time again.

New album should be a a re-invention of the Minneapolis sound circa 1982/1983. To go along with this album should be an album/tour with The TIME (original line up+Jerome). The tour should include other musicians and be a sort of festival. Call the album simply "Moneyapolis ".

And then still nobody would buy it!... Hah! Not long ago, people were clamouring for Prince to release a 'piano ballad' kind of album.

Eventually, they got ONA, and you know what the response to that one has been so far...

I would like to hear some funk like something off the Camille album/SOTT/Dream Factory/Crystal Ball. The hard sounds of the bass and deep drums in those time periods are frantic. Live Albums from those periods would be funky too. Prince's music is too laid back these days. He needs to get back to that edgey, energetic type funk back that would have you bopping all night long.

madhouseman

something you can dance to, after shooting yourself in the foot (his vaults are probably filled with that sort of stuff).

Oh, and if he could put some more rants in it about Lincoln, that'd hit the spot. Love it when he gives it to him like that. Kick him when he is down. Get him Prince. He's Lincoln! Everyone hates him.

Also, some more tunes like that "Feast" tune on TRC. That was radically different from everything I've ever liked... ever.

Take that Lincoln. I didn't vote for you and none of my friends did either.
The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

I would love to hear, more songs like "Don't Play Me" as opposed to "Billy Jack Bitch" which is an excellent song, but he attacks a figure in the media. In 'Don't Play Me' he tells everyone, he's seen it all, done it all, been to the top, the bottom and back up again...

"You couldn't play enough of me now, to make me feel like a star..."

I know, who wants to address criticism all the time, it just would be nice to hear him say "Fuck Off!" like he told Billy Sparx in PR.

The album should be a combonation of Fuck/Jazz/Classical/R&B. sounds weird doesn't it? Well, he's done it before, and they were Masterpieces.

He should release an album of corporate rock covers. Some Journey...a little Starship. A dash of Yes. That would be a dream come true for me.

BLACKMF

A straight ahead jazz album. Not Madhouse funky jazz, straight ahead old school tradition free style jazz like Miles Davis in the 60s. Eric Leeds on sax, Prince on piano, and some real jazz players on the rest. I would be in heaven. You can hear the potential to swing on the One Nite Alone bootlegs as the jazz element comes through alot in the concerts. Make me get all misty thinking about the lost opportunity to hear a true collaboration between Miles and Prince in the studio.

Last time we were asked this question I asked for Madhouse + Lovesexy, and we got The Rainbow Children. This time I'd have to agree with FACE. A straight ahead jazz album!

Oh yeah, and I remember a lot of people asked for a piano album which became One Night Alone, and a lot of people asked for a live album which I believe is coming soon. (He does listen to his fams).

That's easy, but it will NEVER happen.

One part "Funky Design", one part "Days of Wild", two parts "Calhoun Square" (the song, not the orger), one part "Lady Cab Driver". Mix. Add a dash of "Face Down", a cover of "Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)" and a pinch of "Mad". Baste in "Superfunkacalifragisexy". Serve over "Housequake".

The Funk Album. I'll hold my breath.
