And to finally add my perspective: Weird is relative. What's perfectly normal to me is weird and fucked up to others, and vice versa.

I do consider Prince weird, but I mean that as a compliment. To be a freak is a wonderful thing. Who wants to be normal? Trying for normalcy places unrealistic expectations on yourself, because you can never achieve it. Nobody -not one person on this good green Earth -fully meets the standards of what's considered "normal".

Really, what is normal? Personally, I think people who listen to the radio everyday are strange...same song every 20 minutes...how anyone could keep from jabbing a sharpened pencil into their ear canal after listening to it for more than an hour is beyond my understanding-especially with all the crap that they play now; it's like torture. Prince isn't weird; he's just really different from what some people...okay many people...think is normal. Man, for all we know, he could be at his house right now playing Playstation and eating Cheetos....mmmm, Cheetos.

WEird is such a broad term, but IMO:

Public Persona-

MJ-10/10; He lost me after the mid 1980's. Without beating a dead horse, his weirdness was confirmed in the Martin Bashir interview. The things out of his mouth during that interview was bizarre in a Howard Hughes-drinking his-own-urine kind of way.

Prince-7/10: His weirdness is slightly justifiable due to his reluctance of being in the spotlight on a routine basis (i.e. tabloid stories every week). HIs weirdness seems to be an artsy thing and maybe him being shy.

The only knocks on P is th Gemini thing. I watched the Oprah interview and his delivery during that interview and for most of the "Slave" 90's was extremely cryptic. The Larry King interview with Larry Graham/P was really weird too (especially the definition of contract). The dude can get deep sometimes and maybe not realize what he is saying.

His taste in women is damn good though!

Well PRINCE is definetly not Michael Jackson weird thankfully, but I think he is a 8 on the scale. But he does it in the best way, which exudes coolness.

I don't think P is weird at all. He just has a unique way of seeing and saying things and has the ability to let you see things as he sees them through words which I think is brilliant. And how he can be VERY ambiguous with his songs. I never would've guessed what "Rock hard in a funky place" REALLY meant without someone telling me. Things like that amaze me about him. Who else can think of things like that? "If a man is considered guilty for what goes on in his mind then give me the electric chair for all my future crimes" I love that shit.
