But here's a good trick i still use once in a while if i'm really in the mood for his groove but they're not:

Make a mix tape/CD of the your fave Time, the NPG(first two albums), Sheila E, Tevin, Mavis, Yeveeta Steele, Madhouse, etc-songs to play when they get sick of hearing Prince albums.
They'll think you're listening to something besides Prince("finally") and you'll be happy with some Prince-penned tunes. .

Even songs like Mayte's 'Brickhouse'(i like this cover version) has his background vocals--but they don't need to know that, hee hee.

I think I have managed to 'hook up' the girlfriends I have had to prince music. Some were stubborn... but they ultimately all fell for it!

Girls who like prince have a great taste.
As other princefans ,i rarely meet them.
If i would meet one who i like ,and she likes prince ,more the 'newer, one. I would again listen with great pleasure to his earlier work.

My wife doesn't like him AT ALL, or W & L !!! Not only that, but she gets even more pissed because I like him SO much. She's always groaning and telling me, "can we PLEASE listen to something else?!" I really hurts, U know?

That happend last night, I get PISSED off when he looks at me funny everytime the radio play one of his(P) songs. Its killig my mood to the fullest, I just wish I could bunch him in the nose. But I do laugh everytime he(My bra) make fun of Prince .
