That title is just a little too slutty when it's not meant to necessarily be so. I mean, I was kinda wierded out when I was playing it for the first time years ago as an original b-side (to Partyman?) don't remember. Anyhow, a guy would NOT dedicate this to a girl (sounds waaaay to awkward to tell a girl you love her in you!) And for a girl to dedicate this might sound strange too. I don't know, I mean, the lyrics (aside from the title) work and are, in a strange way, affectionate. It's just a little too dirty for the lovey-dovey way it tries to take itself. I've never liked this song.
Prince's vocals sound like they're dragging. The "surgery" lyric always threw me. It just seemed like a nothing song. But, I'm not one for too many slow songs. | |

He played a beautiful acoustic version in concert on the Gold tour, (after a great acoustic version of 'a case of you' - far better than the shitty one on ONA).
