wow,this CD is dropping too fast! We all know that Prince doesn't sell records like he used to,and that's fine,but I at least expected this CD to hang around in the Top 40 for several more weeks.It's a superb album that deserves much more attention and promotion than it's been getting.Are there some problems with Prince's relationship with Universal? Neither side is doing very much to promote this album. | |

i dont think its doin too badly, it reached no 1 on the euro chart, his highest seller in 20 years, it also reached no 1 in the u.s. chart, but the potential for far more sales is still there.
This is another emancipation, gold experience situation, clearly prince has lost interest. I dont think he has ever released an album with such little promotion. Even Rave and NPS got shit loads more. | |

maybe that was his deal with Universal.....to promote it to a certain extent and then leave everything else up to him.....i kind of like that style.... i mean even if 3121 was shoved down the public's throat, they still wouldn't appreciate it | |

I'm glad it's dropping. Hell, look at the other albums that are on the chart. The music buyers today have no taste and Prince definately has no place in their music collection. The fans bought the album, Prince made some money, and that's all that counts. Let the dead asses have their charts because the charts are not a place for music anymore.
