I wrote a paper in college on the song "Controversy" for freshman English. I got a B+. I began liking Prince when I was 13 and 1999 was out. I have a question about some of the rappers nowadays that wear these "grills". Do they get these because they think (I stress the word "think") it looks cool, or have their teeth rotted out? LOL jk,naw, I like rap, I loved the Beasties and Run DMC and LL Cool J and some Cypress Hill too. Oh yeah, I like Warren G and some of the older Puff Daddy stuff too. It just seems that they leave nothing to the imagination any more. And they all think they are so darned cool too. I guess that's all part of it, but someday, surely they'll look at some of this footage and go "What in the blazes was I doing?" And where in the heck did ROCK go? A lot of people make fun of 80s music nowadays, but hey we were having lots of fun in those days and the music reflects that. So what if some of it's kind of corny, so is some of today's music too. | |
